WINNING DESIGN

NEW SCHOOL AT WIRI. SYDNEY ARCHITECT SUCCESSFUL. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, December 18. The design by Mr Henry E. White, a Sydney architect, has been chosen by the Dilworth Trust Board for the new school which it is proposed to have built at Wiri. The jury of award made the following decision: First prize of £5OO to Mr Henry E. White, of Sydney; second prize of £3OO to Messrs Tole and 'Massey, of Auckland; Third prize of £2OO to Messrs W. Martin, Hutchinson and R. A. Lippincott, of Auckland; Three prizes of £lOO each to Messrs Blomfield, Owen Morgan and R. W. MacLaurin, Roy A. Lippincott, Lc Petit and McGowan, all of Auckland. . A permanent school will take the place of the present wooden structure.
