DISUSE OF UNION JACK URGED. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright) (Rec. 5.5 p.m. Cape Town, December 16. The Prime Minister, General Hertzog, in a statement in Pretoria, urged the Boy Scout organization to discontinue the use of the Union Jack as the flag of the organization, and adopt the Union National flag, otherwise there could not be co-opera-tion by Afrikander-speaking boys under the flag of another country. Regarding the Boy Scout oath he suggested that English boys retain “God and the King,” while Afrikanders should ■ adopt “God and Country.” He urged the resumption of negotiations on that basis.
