NEW ZEALAND COAL
USE IN MAKING GAS.

Palmerston North, October 20. A report presented to the City Council this evening shows that by using a mixture containing 80 per cent, of New Zealand coal it was possible to make gas equal in qualify as when the proportion was 80 per cent, of Australian coal and in addition it saved the city over £2OOO.
