GOOD GENERAL COMPETITION. (United Frees Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 9.25 p.m.) Sydney, October 20. At the wool sales 12,563 bales were offered and 10,766 sold, also 1,785 which were disposed of privately. The average price of wool last week was 8.2 d per lb. There was good general competition to-day for better class fleeces and skirtings, which were very firm at late rates. Greasy Merino made to 14gd.
