CONTROL OF PEKIN
CHANGE OVER. EFFECTED. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) Pekin, September 23. Three battalions of Manchurian troops entered Pekin and arrangements for transferring control of the city are proceeding. The change over occurred with such amazing smoothness that observers here are questioning whether Chang Hseuh-liang is really so hostile to the Northern combination as Nanking spokesmen are claiming.
