CHARGE OF MURDER
NEW PLYMOUTH TRAGEDY. TOWNSEND FURTHER REMANDED. (Per United Press Association.) New Plymouth, September 24. Alexander Townsend, who is charged with the murder of his wife, Cora Alice Townsend, appeared on remand at the Magistrate’s Court this morning. A further remand to October 7 was granted, when it is understood that the hearing will be proceeded with.
