She leaves for the Island again at 10.15 a.m. to-day, returning on Friday. Weather permitting, the Morel Ltd) tramp steamer Rhymney will finish unloading the Southland portion of her cargo of guano this evening. She sails later for Port Chalmers to complete discharge. The Canterbury Shipping Company’s coastal steamer Calm which left Lyttelton on Monday, is due to berth at Bluff at 8 a.m. to-day. After discharging, she will load about 400 tons of general cargo, leaving later for Dunedin. The Union Company’s Indian trader Narbada is scheduled to clear Dunedin to-mor* row for Bluff, where she is due on Friday morning. After unloading Eastern merchandise the vessel sails for Newcastle on Saturday.

The Union Company’s Wingatui clears Auckland to-day for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff, being due at the fatter port on October 1. The vessel loads for Wellington and Auckland, via ports, and sails the following day. The Union Steam Ship Company advise that the Kalingo. cleared Goff’s Harbour on September 15 for Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. She is due on Monday and sails the same day for Greymouth. • The Union Company’s inter-colonial freighter Waikouaiti is scheduled to arrive at Wellington front Sydney to-day. From Wellington she goes to Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff, being due at the latter port on October 1, and sailing the following day for Sydney direct. THE MAHENO. Clearing Wellington this coming Saturday for Bluff direct, the Union Company’s inter colonial passenger' steamer Maheno is due at the Southland port on Monday morning. The vessel sails the same evening for Melbourne direct. THE TUTANEKAI. The Government steamer Tutanekai, which on her periodical visit to southern lighthouses sailed from Dunedin on Monday, arrived off the hearts at Bluff last night after tendering the Nuggets and Waipapa Lights. She was expected to berth during the night and will ship stores for Centre Island, Puysegur Point and Milford Sound. She will return north about the end of the week. KOTARE’S MOVEMENTS. The Kotare made a brief call at Bluff at 1.25 a.m. yesterday from Port Craig. After landing passengers, she sailed again at 1.30 p.m. for Dunedin.

SOMERSET FROM LIVERPOOL. The Federal Line steamer Somerset from Glasgow and Liverpool, via Curacao, Panama, Auckland, Wellington and Lyttelton, was expected to sail from Dunedin at 2 а. to-day for Bluff direct. She is ex.pected to berth this afternoon to begin discharging 2,000 tons of cargo, afterwards loading frozen meat and other produce ■for English ports. The Somerset loaded at Swansea, Newport, Avonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool, clearing the last port on July 19. En route to New Zealand she called at Curacao for oilbunkers on August 2, and cleared the Panama canal on August 5. Throughout her voyage the Somerset enjoyed fair to moderate weather until the last night, when she ran into a fresh gale and rough seas. She arrived at Auckr land on August 29. In command of the Somerset is Captain C. R. Pilcher, and he has associated with him the following officers:—Chief officer, Mr D. Hughes; second, Mr H. M. Knight; third. Mr T. D. Walters; fourth, Mr T. E. Davies; chief engineer, Mr A. Johnston; second, Mr H. Brown; third, Mr W. J. Smith; fourth, Mr W. H. Barr; fifth, Mr R. Nichol; sixth, Mr J? B. Gordon; seventh, Mr H. Marshall; chief refrigerating engineer, Mr C. T. Wood; second, Mr P. D. Cameron; wireless operator, Mr A. Howard; chief steward, Mr T. Leaver. The Somerset' will be in port for more than a week.
