DRUMMOND NOTES
DAIRY FACTORY BALL. (From Our Correspondent.) The annual ball held under the auspices of the employees of the Drummond dairy factory was largely attended, and was a most successful function. The building was beautifully decorated with greenery and -streamers. Mr J. Thomson’s orchestra supplied capital music, extras being played by Miss Renowden (Otautau). The duties of M.C. were efficiently carried out by Mr R. Gibbs. Euchre Social.. The Library Committee held mother euchre social and dance in the public hall last week, at which there was a large attendance. Miss Jean Allison won the first prize in the ladies’ Section, while Mrs D. 'Jones was awarded the consolation prize. In the men’s section three tied for - first place, Messrs J. Kincaid, D. Blee aad R. Gibb. In the play-off the first lamed proved the winner, and R.\ Laughton secured the consolation prize.
