STUD SHEEP

WAIRARAPA SALE. (Per United Press Association.) Masterton, January 10. At the Wairarapa Stud Sheepbreeders’ annual stud ram and ewe sale to-day, 235 guineas was paid for Mr W. Perry’s Romney rani by Mr H. B. Johnston, of Feilding, that being the highest price of the sale. Competition was confined mainly to highclass animals, many of the poorer quality being passed in. Another Wairarapa breeder, Mr G. Donald, secured good prices for Romneys, 185 and 190 guineas being the best highest prices. For Lincolns, for which there was a limited demand, 50 guineas was paid for two lots bred by Mr A. D. McMaster of Martinborough.
