A total of 103,630 motor-cars entered Switzerland as “tourists” last year compared with 78,693 in 1927. Estimating an average of four persons per car, more than 400,000 tourists visiting'Switzerland in 1928 provided their own transportation. Swiss gross receipts from motor tourists in 1928 are - estimated at £1,000,000, or approximately £2 10/- per person. ‘ ■
