WATERSIDE WORKERS
ANNUAL CONFERENCE. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. (Per United Press Association.) Greymouth, November 22. The election of officers, and the executive for the incoming year, was conducted by the annual conference of the New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Federation to-day, and resulted as follows: —President, Mr L. Glover, unopposed; vice-president, Mr C. Fraser, unopposed; secretary and treasurer, Mr J. Roberts, unopposed; National executive Messrs J. A. Johnson, W. Craig, S. Flood, L. Tredennick, N. Campbell, G. Thomas, E. McFarlane, and R. Irvine; trustees, Messrs F. Fox and J. O. Johnson, unopposed; national disputes committee, Messrs L. Glover and J. Roberts; delegates to New Zealand Labour Party conference. L. Glover, J. O. Johnson, N. Campbell, J. Roberts, G. Thomas and 0. Mcßrine; delegates to New Zealand Alliance of Labour, Messrs L. Glover and J. Roberts; managing editor of New Zealand Transport Worker, Mr J. Roberts. The conference has been sitting in Greymouth since last Wednesday week, and it is expected the business will not be finalized until Wednesday next. The weather being favourable, it is the intention of the visiting delegates to leave on a visit to the Franz Josef glacier to-morrow morning.
