ASTRONOMICAL DATA
GERMAN PROFESSOR’S SCHEME.
INSTRUMENTS FITTED TO ROCKET.
Berlin, October 10.
The Government has given Professor Oberth permission to use a lonely spot on the East Coast from which to fire an experimental rocket 30 miles heavenwards. The rocket is fitted with astronomical instruments and will come down by means of a parachute when the propelling charges have been exhausted. Professor Oberth is confident that he will get important data from his long-dis-tance rocket. —Australian Press Association.
