REDMOND DEFEATS MILLER.
INQUIRY INTO LOSER’S CONDUCT.

At the Sydney Stadium last night Pat Redmond, the Irish giant, knocked out Blackie Miller, the ex-Australian heavyweight champion, in the fourth of a scheduled fifteen round bout. Miller was twice warned in the third round owing to being careless about where his blows landed. The management, decided to withhold Miller’s share of the gate money pending an inquiry into his conduct in the third round; also because it is alleged he illegally took the count in the fourth. —Australian Press Association. GEORGE COOK DEFEATED. (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) New York, September 20. At Chicago, Griffiths (13.0) gained a verdict over George Cook. the Australian, (13.8) by a technical knock-out in the fourth round.—Australian Press Association. ARTIE HAY BEATS REG TROWERN. BOUT AT STRATFORD. (Per United Press Association.) New Plymouth, September 22. Artie Hay, New Zealand welter champion, secured a points decision against Reg Trowern at Stratford last night in a ten rounds fight that went the full distance. Trowern made most of the fighting but Hay was the better boxer.
