LUMSDEN NOTES
(From Our Correspondent.) The club football competition in the Northern District was advanced a further stage on Saturday after an interval of about four weeks. The Lumsden senior team travelled to Riversdale and defeated the home team by 19 points to 6. The Lumsden juniors travelled to Athol and were defeated by 17 points to 3. After Saturday’s games the positions of the teams in the competition are as under. With only two more games to play the Lumsden seniors have a load of six points and it appears that the club will annex the Bedford Shield for the sixth year in succession. In the junior competition Waikaia have a large enough lead to hold the second grade trophy for another year.
