FARM SCHOOLS
TO BE HELD IN SOUTHLAND. TIME-TABLE FOR NEXT WEEK. Mr G. W. Wild, Instructor in Agriculture for Southland, has announced that commencing next Monday the following farm schools will be held in Southland: — Invercargill—Y.M.C.A. Hall, July 29. O/autau —Town Hall, July 30. Hinton—Masonic Hall, July 31. Gore—Gaiety Hall, August 1. , The time-table is as follows: 10.15 a.m.—Official opening by his Worship the Mayor. 10.30 a.m. to 12 noon—Lecture, “Latest Developments in Top-dressing” by Mr R. B. Tennent, Fields Superintendent, Dunedin. Luncheon interval. 1.30 p.m. to 3 p.m.—Lecture, “Diseases of Live-stock” by Mr J. Danskin, M.R.C.V.S., Veterinarian, Invercargill. 3.15 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.—Lecture, “Development and Utilization of Grasslands” by Mr G. W. Wild, Instructor in Agriculture, Invercargill. Dinner interval. 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.—Lecture, “Grass Seed Improvement and Certification” by Mr J. W. Hadfield, Agronomist, Palmerston North.
