COMPLAINT FROM GLADSTONE.

To the Editor.

Sir, —How long are the people of Gladstone going to put up with the almost- incessant yelping of dogs kept in confinement near a certain store? The yelping is so continuous as not only' to be an extreme annoyance and irritation to all neighbours within a block or two, but to suggest that the confinement of the dogs must be suspiciously near cruelty to animals. A visit from the inspector of the society might be opportune.—l am, etc.,
