AWARUA DISTRICT. TRANSFERS AND RENEWALS. At a sitting of the Awarua Licensing Committee at Bluff yesterday there were present: Messrs W. H. Woodward, S.M(chairman), J. S. Grieve, A. McKenzie, J. T. Butler, E. A. Nichol and W. Swale. Renewals of publicans’ licenses were granted to: Mary Olive (Mr O. A. BSmith), Railway Hotel, Winton; Murdoch McKay (Mr 0. A. B. Smith) Winton Hotel, Winton; Michael Joseph Forde (Mr J. G. Imlay for Hogg, Raines and Hodges) Commercial Hotel, Winton; Robert Kirkwood, Bay View Hotel, Bluff; James Robert Sinclair (Mr J. L. McG. Watson) Eagle Hotel, Bluff ; Patrick Ford (Mr J. L. McG. Watson), Club Hotel, Bluff; William John Harris (Mr J. L- McG. Watson), Wallacetown Junction Hotel; Robert Bertie Stiven (Mr F. G. O’Beirne) Wallacetown Hotel. A license was issued to Alexander. James Walker, Golden Age Hotel, Bluff and a transfer granted to him from William Laytham Hogg. Accommodation licenses were renewed as follows: James Newsham West, Celtic Hotel, Browns; Patrick Andrew Fahey, Farmers’ Rest Hotel, Oreti. Hugh Cameron McLean (Mr Eustace Russell) Benniore Hotel, Kauana, was issued with an accommodation license. Wholesale licenses were renewed as follows: Thomsons Ltd., Bluff (Mr Eustace Russell); McKerras and Hazlett, Bluff (Mr J. L. McG. Watson); and Arthur Basil Moffett, Bluff.
