COPPER IN JAPAN
DISCOVERY OF NEW LODE. MINING REVIVAL EXPECTED. Tokio, June 2. A message from Kobe states that the Furukawa Company’s Ashio mine reports the discovery of a new lode of unparalleled richness, totalling at least 100,000 tons of pure copper.
The importance of the find lies in the prospects of a revival in copper mining which has been greatly depressed since the war boom. —United Service.
