AUSTRALIANS AND NEW ZEALAND ERS.
(Rec. 9 p.m.) Sydney, June 3. The Australian Fleet is already at Hervey Bay off Queensland coast awaiting the New Zealand cruisers, which are due in a week’s time. Major exercises, in which the New Zealand ships will participate, have already begun. The Australian ships are going to meet the New Zealand warships, which will be treated as enemy vessels or an invading squadron. A aeries of important manoeuvres will then begin. Most of the “fighting” will be done at night time. —Australian Press Association.
