FOREIGN INVESTMENTS
BRITAIN AND UNITED STATES. (Rec. 7.0 p.m.) Washington, May 12. The Department of Commerce has stated that. Great Britain is maintaining a decided increase in foreign investments, while American underwriting has established no upward trend. British capital invested abroad in 1928 aggregated 770,000,000 dollars, gaining 25,000,000 dollars over 1927. American foreign issues totalled 488,000,000 dollars in 1928, showing a decline of 105,000,000 dollars from 1927.—Australian Press Association.
