THIEVES’ HARVEST

SYDNEY FILM HOUSE RIFLED. BETWEEN £3OOO AND £5OOO STOLEN. Sydney, May 13. Thieves broke into a film house in the city yesterday and rifled the strongroom. They stole between £3OOO and £5OOO, the property of the Union Theatres. The robbers cut through two iron doors with a hacksaw. All Saturday’s takings of the principal theatres in the city were locked in steel lockers, which the thives methodically forced open.—Australian Press Association.
