It is the ‘Southland Hospital Board,’ so you were wasting printer’s ink. * * « * Use of Decoys. In the past the Southland Acclimatization Society has not been very active in the matter of prosecuting sportsmen who use more than the regulation number of decoys. At the monthly meeting of the council last evening, however, a general warning was issued that in future all sportsmen detected using more than 25 decoys will be prosecuted by the society. * Sheep Dog Trials at Royal Show. At the smoke concert held by the Winton Sheep Dog Trial Club on Wednesday night, Mr A. Baird brought forward a suggestion that in view of the Royal Show being held at Invercargill this year, sheep dog trial clubs of Southland should combine and contribute with a view to making possible the holding of trials at the Royal Show. Mr Baird said he believed this would prove a great attraction at the Show. Other members and visitors approved of the suggestion and members of outside clubs promised to support the scheme.
