TASMANIAN POTATOES
GROWERS’ HEAVY LOSSES. (Rec. 7.0 p.m.) Sydney, April 17. Tasmanian potato crops suffered severely in the floods. Even some which it was considered had escaped have developed wet rot and 1000 bags so affected found amongst shipments reaching Sydney during the past week had to be destroyed. Their market value was £lB per ton.—Australian Press Association.
