He was without a doubt one of the gamest houses that ever faced a hurdle and would have made his presence felt in the Grand National Hurdles this year only for meeting with an accident at Gore in a hurdle race in which he broke a fetlock on landing when a sure winner. Although he broke his leg he never fell. Fleetham has some very promising young jumpers with plenty of speed qualifying with the Birchwood hounds this season for future events and are all natural junipers.
