AMENDED PRAYER BOOK
PUBLICATION AGREED TO.
London. November 12. The Church Assembly agreed to the publication of the 1928 Prayer Book, prefaced by a note dealing with the Book’s history and position, explicitly stating that the publication neither directly nor indirectly implies authorization for Church use. The Archbishop of York explained that publication was due to the book still exciting general interest, and must always specially interest students of the Church’s history, and therefore it ought to be accessible.—Australian Press Association-United Service.
