TOWER HILL MEMORIAL
QUEEN TO UNVEIL MONUMENT. (Rec. 11.40 p.m.) London, November 13. The Queen for the first time will unveil a war memorial. This is being erected at Tower Hill on behalf of the Empire Governments in memory of 12,086 officers and men of the merchants’ navy and fishing fleets who have no grave but the sea. It is an imposing monument consisting of a vaulted stone corridor 64 feet long having three bays in which the names of the dead are inscribed on bronze panels under the names of the ships. It is expected that the ceremony will take place on December 12. United Service.
