ABSENCE OF CRIME

WHITE GLOVES FOR JUDGE AT CHRISTCHURCH. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, November 12. To-morrow when the criminal sessions of the Supreme Court should open, Mr Justice Adams will be presented with a pair of white gloves. There are no criminal cases for trial. Nobody seems to remember such an event in Christchurch previously. Barristers who have been in practice here for 35 years declare that never in their experience has a judge received white gloves.
