BRIGHTER WINTER OUTLOOK. London, November 1. There are rejoicings on the Clydeside, where the winter outlook hitherto has been the blackest, owing to the Canadian Pacific Company placing a contract for a 40,000-ton liner with the John Brown Company. The vessel is being designed to cross the Atlantic in a five days’ trip.—Australian Press Association.
