POSSIBILITY OF KNIGHTHOODS. (Rec. 9.10 p.m.) Sydney, October 16. The Premier, Mr Bavin, replying to a question in the Legislative Assembly today, said the Government would seriously consider the recommendation to the Federal Government of Knighthoods for SquadronLeader Kingsford Smith and Flight-Lieuten-ant C. T. P. Ulm, in whom every Australian felt the. deepest pride.. The entire crew of the Southern Cross are attending a gay sports ball in their honour to-night at a fashionable cafe.— Australian Press Association.
