TWO DROWNED
TEACHER AND SCHOOL GIRL. Sydney, October 11. A double drowning occurred near Turee on the north coast, when a school girl, Enid Brooks, fell into the Manning river. Her teacher, Charles Evenden, attempted to rescue her, but the girl dragged him under, Evenden was unable to swim.—Australian Press Association.
