SABBATH OBSERVANCE.

To the Editor. Sir, —The answer to Mr Sampson’s first question has already been supplied in the quotation itself: “Mystery or Gospel.” To proceed with the next question, As the context is dealing with law’s penalty, which is declared to be death (Rom. VI.-23) and seeing the law is the only means of determining what constitutes sin (Rom. VII.-7) it is apparent that sin’s forerunner-^-death—-would lose its “strength” if no law existed. Therefore the term “law” in the expression “the strength of sin is the law” would stand for sin detector or justice which demands “sin’s” wages—death: hence I conclude the law here referred to is the decalogue.—l am, etc., J. PASCOE.
