LICENSING POLLS

EFFECT OF NEW ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES. ’ (Special to the Times.) Wellington, July 12. The effect of the recent changes in the electoral boundaries on the licensing polls is shown in to-night’s Gazette which contains a notice setting out the twelve local no license areas in which restoration polls will be conducted this year. These districts are:—Auckland suburbs, Eden, Grey Lynn, Roskill, Masterton, Wellington, Wellington East, Wellington South, Wellington suburbs, Oamaru, Clutha, Mataura, Invercargill. The notice states that restoration polls will not be held in any other district before the boundaries were amended. There were also twelve local no license areas in which restoration polls were conducted. Ohinemuri and Ashburton have disappeared from the old list but their places have been taken by the new electorate of Eden in Auckland and by the electorate of Wellington East.
