BLACK CROW

BIRD OF EVIL OMEN. London, June 23. John Sheehan a eeven-year-old youngster, living with his parents near Coventry, was killed in pathetic circumstances, while paying heed to an age-old superstition. Seeing a solitary crow—which is believed to be unlucky—he rushed across the road with a view to drawing his playmates’ attention to the bird so that they might avert the evil omen. He was knocked down by a passing motor and killed.—Sun Special.
