HUSBAND’S SHOCKING DISCOVERY. (Per United Press Association.) Wanganui, June 27. Ada Marion Webster, a married woman residing in Pitt street, left her bed about 5.25 this morning saying that she felt unwell. She went into the bathroom. Her husband heard a noise and followed a few minutes later when he found her with her throat cut. She died before the arrival of a doctor. MOTOR ACCIDENT. Christchurch, June 27. A serious accident occurred in Lincoln Road last evening, when a motor-car which was proceeding from the city knocked down two pedestrians, Mr and Mrs L. Forsyth. Mrs Forsyth was unconscious when picked up and she was conveyed to the Christchurch Hospital in a serious condition. Mr Forsyth received minor injuries. The woman was evidently caught between the mudguard and the radiator while attempting to cross the road. MISSING WOMAN FOUND. Thames, June 27. The woman, Mrs Whitehead, who has been missing since Sunday evening, was found this morning under the Baptist Church at Thames. She was in a very low condition and was taken to hospital. CYCLIST DROPS DEAD. Dunedin, June 27. Henry John Hill Knowles, aged 69, a widower with a grown-up son and. daughter, fell dead off his bicycle while on his way to work at the South Otago Freezing Company’s works at Finegand at 7 o’clock this morning. Presumably it is a case of heart failure. The body was found by his workmates who were also cycling from Balclutha. It is not known whether an inquest will be necessary.
