ERUPTIVE CONE RAISED. (Rec. 7.30 p.m.) Rome, June 27. Vesuvius is in eruption. Spectacular and continual explosions launched masses of incandescent lava which raised the eruptive cone almost level with the great crater which crumbled away on April 4, 1906.
