NEW YORK INSTITUTION. (Rec. 7.40 p.m.) New York, May 28. Offering a statistical analysis by the A. F. Rothschild Company the National City Bank of New York lays claim to be the largest banking institution in the world from the standpoint of capital surplus and undivided profits, the recent capital increase involving a total of 60,000,000 dollars, of which 15,000,000 dollars accrues to the bank’s capital and increases this item to 90,000,000 dollars.—Australian Press Association.
