EASTERN DISTRICT GAMES. TO-DAY’S REFEREES. The following referees have been appointed to control the games to-day:— First Grade—Albion v. Edendale at Edendale, R. Robertson; Pioneer v. Wyndham at Gore, Mr D. Mulvey. Second Grade—Pukerau v. Mataura at Mataura, Mr L. Thomson; Pioneer v. Albion at Gore, Mr C. Esplin. Third Grade —High School v. Wyndham at Wyndham, Mr G. Bogue; Pioneer v. Mataura at Mataura, Mr W. Leitch. TEAMS FOR TO-DAY. At the Gore showgrounds to-day two flag matches will be played. On No. 1 ground Pioneer and Wyndham seniors meet, while Pioneer and Albion seconds will occupy No. 2 ground. Wyndham’s last appearance at Gore was against Albion, when the visitors, with 13 men, lost by only six points. Last week the Light Blues came very close to defeating the redoubtable Dark Blues of Mataura, and if they can reproduce this form on Wednesday, Pioneer will have a busy day. At Edendale the home team will meet Albion, and this game also should be well contested. The following are the teams for the first grade match, Wyndham v. Pioneer, at Gore:— Wyndham—B. Richardson, V. Fitzgerald, Moffitt, Miller, Ottrey, Broome, Murtagh, Halliday, Trapski, Brown, Whitehead, McAra, D. Cunningham, F. Fitzgerald, Hoffman and Forbes. The following will represent Albion 11. against Pioneer 11. at 2.45 —Smith, Davis, Burton, Hay, Corcoran, Powley, Ritchie (2), Middlemiss, Dunn, Tinnock, Greenfield (2), Spittle, Day, Thomson and Cleine. Pioneer —Kubala, Cowie, Thompson, Mason, T. Holland, P. Holland, Green, Christie, Mair, Coutts, Giles, Graham, Paulin, Davidson and Telfer. Emergencies, Day and Carroll. The following are the teams for the third grade match, Pioneer v. Mataura, at Mat aura:— Pioneer—Green, Mitchell, Sexton, Kerr, O’Shea, A.
