SAMOAN PETITION

RECEIVED BY LEAGUE. Geneva, May 25. The League Secretariat has received from the New Zealand Government the Samoan petition which it is communicating to the members of the Mandates Commission in readiness for the meeting on June 12.—Australian Press Association. GENERAL RICHARDSON’S EXAMINATION. (Rec. 11 p.m.) London, May 26. It is reported from Geneva that it has been arranged that the Mandates Commission will examaine the Ryrie, Nauru and New Guinea reports on June 13. General Richardson’s examination on Samoa will take place on June 19. It is understood that the latter’s examination will be oral and not based on any written report. —Australian Press Association.
