DAYLIGHT BAKING

, CONFERENCE OF INTEREST. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, May 26. The Hon. R. A. Wright, Acting-Minister of Labour, states that a conference will be held early next month of representatives of the Master Bakers and Pastrycooks’ Association and Bakers and Pastrycooks’ Industrial Union of Workers in regard to arranging daylight baking as proposed in a Bill introduced in the House last session by Mr P. Fraser, but which was not allowed to proceed. The conference is to be summoned by the Minister in the recess. There has been difficulty in regard to the repre sentation of non-employing bakers on this conference, but it is expected, says the Minister, that their interests will be adequately safeguarded by the master bakers.
