PETITION FOR REPRIEVE

FATE OF NORGROVE TO BE DECIDED (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, May 26. Counsel for Allan Norgrove, the condemned murderer, has been advised by the Con-troller-General of Prisons that a further medical examination by an independent doctor will be undertaken at Mt. Eden Prison next week. The petition for his reprieve is being pre sented to the Governor-General on Tuesday next, and will be considered by the Executive Council on Thursday, when Norgrove’s fate will be finally decided.
