Mr L. W. Hemmings, of the Para Rubber Company, leaves by this morning’s express for Auckland where he will join the Aorangi en route to Vancouver.
Deep regret was expressed at Gore oi Saturday when word was received of th death at Auckland, at the age of 83 yean of Mr L. D. Nicol, late of Riverview, Gore.
The condition of Sir Charles Skerrett is much the same. The condition of the Rev. Feilden Taylor is satisfactory, states a Press Association message from Wellington last night. At Saturday’s meeting of the Southlanc branch of the New Zealand Educational Institute motions of condolence with Mi George. Menzies and Mr J. Stobo in theii recent bereavements were carried.
Mr J. Bateman, Bay Road, vice-president of the New Zealand Milking Shorthorn Breeders’ Association, leaves for Hamilton this morning to attend the annual meeting of the Association.
