DR. VORONOFF
MONKEY GLAND OPERATIONS. NO ANIMAL INSTINCTS DEVELOPED. (Rec. 9.40 p.m.) . London, May 25. Dr. Voronoff states that simple monkeygland operations are at present being carried out by other surgeons who have learned his methods. He fears that English surgeons will be handicapped as owing to the anti-vivisection laws monkeys are not allowed to be operated upon without a license, although a monkey still continues its normal length of life. The only gland operation permissible in England is one taken from a person who died suddenly and it must be used within six hours. He explains that it is impossible for a person to develop instinct, physical or mental, from an animal from which a gland is taken. The ideal age is between ten and twelve. Children show greater force of energy and intelligence when they reach the adult age. Unless a man is treated within four or five years of his decline he floes not fully renew his vitality.—Australian Press Association.
