UPPER HOUSE
DISCUSSED AT FARMERS’ CONFERENCE. (Per United Press Association.) Hamilton, May 24. That the Upper House should be elected as provided by law now on the Statute Book is the text of a remit passed at the farmers’ provincial conference. Mr Martin M.P. said that the law for the election of the Upper House passed in 1914 was never repealed. He believed that the House ought to be abolished, but supported the remit as a step in the right direction.
