THE MAYOR’S APPEAL A SPLENDID RESPONSE SUBSCRIPTIONS COMING IN FREELY The Mayor of Invercargill has appealed to the public to subscribe to a fund to provide work for men who are now unemployed. The money paid into this fund will be subsidised £ for £ by the Government. Subscriptions may be left at the Southland Times Office or at the Town Hall and they will be acknowledged. The following sums are acknowledged from the Southland Times Office to date:—
