TRADE DELEGATION

CIVIC RECEPTION AT DUNEDIN. (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, June 20. Members of the British trade delegation were accorded a civic reception to-day. The Mayor, Mr. W. B. Taverner, extended a cordial welcome to Dunedin and Mr. H. C. Campbell extended a welcome on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce. Sir Archibald Boyd Carpenter replied on behalf of the delegation. He referred to the alleged indifference on the part of the British manufacturer. He said there was no indifference. It was only want of opportunity. Under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce, a luncheon was tendered to the delegation by the Chamber of Commerce in the Somerset Lounge, Savoy. Over 100 Dunedin business men were present.
