VIEW OBSTRUCTED
DRIVERS OF VEHICLES. RAILWAY DEPARTMENT BAD OFFENDERS. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, June 15. “The Railway Department are very bad offenders in this matter,” said the Mayor (the Rev. J. Archer), when discussing obstructions to the view of drivers of vehicles. “I am told in connection with the smash at the Colombo Street crossing, when a railway engine hit a tramcar, that the motorman could not see the engine approaching because of an advertising hoarding erected there by the Railway Department.”
