OBITUARY

MR EDWARD PARKER. Much regret has been expressed at the demise of the late Mr Edward Parker, which although not altogether unexpected has removed a well-kn,own and respected figure. The funeral took place on Tuesday from St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, where the departed was a Lay Reader and member of the choir. The casket was borne into the church by the members of the Freemasons’ Lodge and out of it by the Order of Foresters. The body was consigned to the grave by the Rev. A. Moffatt, after which the Freemasons held their funeral service. There was a large number of mourners including Freemasons from all parts of the province, the late Mr Parker having occupied a prominent position among the fraternity.
