AUSTRALIAN MISSION LABOUR MEMBERS’ CONTENTIOUS ATTITUDE COMPLAINT OF INSUFFICIENT DATA (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) Washington, June 11. The final meeting of the Australian Industrial Mission was held here. Mr Grayndler was absent. It is understood that heated exchanges occurred between the employers and the employees’ representatives regarding Mr Grayndler’s general inattention to the Mission’s meetings. It is stated authoritatively that the members are prepared to place their progress reports on the table if Mr Grayndler and Mr Mclnnes do likewise but no action was taken. It is believed Grayndler and Mclnnes are making the excuse that they have insufficient data. The Mission has resolved to inform Mr Bruce that owing to insufficient information it is unable to complete its report in America, and has adjourned to San Francisco. Mr Manden stated that he personally was prepared to finalise his report before leaving America. It is difficult to understand the complaint of insufficient data after three months of intensive travelling and three weeks in Washington, where Government officials and the Federation of Labour were anxious to supply abundant information. Mr Mclnnes joined Mr Grayndler in the complaint regarding the mission tour having been through mostly open shops, but the members always decided the itinerary. The mission leaves to-morrow for Pittsburg, en route to San Francisco.
