PIG INDUSTRY

ORGANISATION IN AUSTRALIA. Sydney, June 10. A conference of inter-State representatives has completed details of a comprehensive Federal scheme for organising the pig industry which it is submitting to the interests concerned and, if approved, State committees will be appointed with a central Federal council. The functions of the council include organisation of the pig industry on economic lines, raising the standard of production, promotion of Australian and overseas trade and development of the industry generally.—A. and N.Z.
