UNEMPLOYMENT

POSITION IN WELLINGTON. PARADE AT TOWN HALL. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, June 9. About forty out-of-work men assembled at the Trades Hall today. From statements made none of them had been out of work less than a month. Fifteen were married. Of the single men seventeen had dependents to support. The number in attendance was said to be nothing like the total number seeking work locally. All made it clear that they were not particular as to the form of work that would be acceptable, but would take anything at all. All were urged to register at once with the Labour Department. RELIEF IN DUNEDIN. Dunedin, June 9. Advice received from Wellington through Mr Robinson, Labour Secretary, who interviewed the Premier, is that the Government will provide work immediately for 220 un employed here and will subsidise the local moneys in the same cause.
